Francis qualified with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy from the University of East London in 2010. Since then Francis has worked in a wide range of clinical settings and hospitals some of which include Naas General Hospital, Wexford General Hospital, St John’s Hospital Enniscorthy and Graiguecullen Primary Care Centre. Francis also has extensive experience in the Private Practice setting having worked in several Physiotherapy Clinics across Kildare and Dublin. He has also provided Physiotherapy and Pitch Side Support to various sports teams and clubs across Kildare and was Physiotherapist to the Kildare Premier Junior All Ireland winning Camogie team in 2013/14.
Francis has completed postgraduate courses in Myofascial Dry Needling, Pilates Instruction, Sports Taping, Orthotics Prescription and an Intermediate Care Course from the Royal College of Surgeons comprising of the standard principles of resuscitation and trauma management in sport. He is also a qualified Manual Handling Instructor and a People Moving Instructor.
Francis is currently studying a Master’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine from University College Cork and has a keen interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation.
His interests and hobbies include distance running, cycling and outdoor pursuits; he is also a keen musician having played woodwind and percussion instruments from a young age; although his father who is a real Musician thinks he should keep practicing…
