I began my own personal training with the Pilates Method 15 years ago, a friend taught the Michael King method and in 2008 I decided I loved the mind body connection so much I wanted to learn more and therefore researched different Pilate’s methods to become an instructor.
I love the contemporary STOTT Pilates approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates, which has been refined by Merrithew, along with a team of physical therapists, sports medicine and fitness professionals, which has resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and effective methods available.
In 2009 I qualified with STOTT, I currently teach beginners – advanced Mat and Reformer and Pre/Post Natal. In July 2017 STOTT will be running the Cadillac, Chair & Barrel course in Ireland for the 1st time and I am very excited to be enrolled for it!
There are so many amazing things that Pilates and has already done for me personally both physically and mentally. As an instructor I will always do my best to help others realise their own body’s potential as an individual at their own pace, I truly believe Pilates has a benefit to all and for me it is the miracle method.
All STOTT Pilates instructors are obliged to complete regular continuing education workshops to ensure a high level of instruction and keep abreast of advancements in exercise science.
